Privacy policy
Effective 20 October 2026
Paolo is a workout app that counts reps with the camera. It is built to work entirely without an account, and then nothing about you leaves your phone.
Without an account
- The camera is analysed in real time on the phone to count reps. No video, images or skeleton data are saved or sent.
- The microphone is only used if you turn on voice commands. Speech recognition runs on the phone; no audio is saved or sent.
- Workouts, goals, settings and your first name are stored only on the phone.
- The app has no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and shares nothing with third parties.
With an account (optional)
If you sign in, you can sync your workouts between phones. Nothing is sent until you confirm it in the app. Then we store:
- your email address, or the anonymous id Apple provides with Sign in with Apple,
- for each workout: the date, kind of workout, duration, and per exercise the number of reps or seconds,
- your goals: exercise, target and optional deadline.
Video, images, skeleton data, audio and your first name are never sent, not even with an account.
The data is stored with Supabase in a data centre in Stockholm (EU). It is only used to sync to your own devices. The legal basis is contract (providing the sync you asked for).
Deletion
You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile. The account and every workout and goal in the cloud are deleted immediately, and if you signed in with Apple, that sign-in is revoked with Apple. What is on your phone stays until you remove the app.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask what is stored, and have it corrected, deleted or exported. Most of this you can do in the app; otherwise email info@paolofit.com. You may also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (imy.se).
